Railroad Short Name: NATX
NATX “Murphy SPUR Delivery 1965” gives modelers an example of a very popular billboard paint scheme car. These “Murphy Corporation Lessee” cars have silver-painted tanks, with black end frames. Painted on the silver body is a proud “SPUR” logo on the side of the car. The SPUR lettering inside the logo and on the sides and ends of the tank is dark blue. The logo’s blue letter stenciling contrasts nicely against a white background, and on the right of the logo is the star that is seemingly found on all Murphy branding.
