Location

The main show will be held about 6 blocks south of the store at the Thayer County Fairgrounds Expo Building located at 4th& Race Street, Deshler Nebraska.  Concession stand will be provided by the American Legion Auxiliary.

Show Hours
Saturday, July 5th from 9:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday, July 6th from 10:00am – 4:00pm

Extended Store Hours
During the train show weekend we have extended hours for those that arrive early or just don’t have the time to get away from the show or clinics and want to shop.
Friday, July 4th from 9:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday, July 5th from 9:00am – 8:00pm
Sunday, July 6th from 10:00am – 5:00pm

Admission Price

$6.00 – Includes the show and clinics, and is good for both days.
Kids 12 & under are free.

There will be a concession stand at the show venue.  The stand is being run by the local American Legion Auxiliary.  They will have several different items available including the always popular pies.

For other eating establishments unfortunately the restaurant in Deshler is temporarily closed.  We have compiled a list of eating establishments that are within 60 miles of Deshler.

We wanted to take this opportunity to bring in modular layouts from clubs we have encountered on our travels that you would otherwise not have a chance to experience.

Dakota Southeastern Division

The Dakota Southeastern Division (DSED) is a regional chapter of the National Model Railroad Association, serving model railroad enthusiasts in eastern South Dakota and parts of southwestern Minnesota.  Their HO scale layout features town scenes with many of the modules having animated and lighted scenes.

DeNtrak is a modular N scale model railroad club based in the Denver, Colorado area that uses the NTRAK standard.

Frankfort Subdivision

The Frankfort Subdivision Model Train Club, based in Frankfort, Kansas, is a community of model railroaders and railfans within a 60-mile radius who share a passion for rail history and model railroading. The club operates a permanent HO scale layout at their clubhouse and participates in regional events with their modular display.

Gulf Western

HO scale modern layout displaying different scenes throughout the western USA.  Some of the scenes on the layout includes are a large container port with container ship, oil refinery, grain elevator with balloon track load out, and many others.

N Scale Free-Mo

An N scale Free-mo layout is a modular model railroad system that allows for highly flexible, free-form arrangements with no fixed shape, encouraging realistic operations and scenic continuity. Each module follows specific standards for track alignment and wiring, enabling seamless integration with other modules in large, collaborative setups.

Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club

The Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club, based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is dedicated to promoting the hobby of scale model railroading through public and private events, clinics, and other club functions encompassing all scales . The club operates two HO scale layouts: the Cheyenne and Green River, permanently displayed at the Frontier Mall, and the modular Cheyenne and Northwestern, which travels to events throughout the Rocky Mountain region
