Bowser (HO)

Bowser Manufacturing is a family-owned model railroad company based in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1946, the brand originally built a reputation for high-quality steam locomotive kits. Today, it produces a wide range of ready-to-run diesel locomotives, freight cars, and trolleys in HO and N scales.

The brand organizes its premium locomotives under the Executive Line. These models feature high levels of detail and fine-scale handrails. Many locomotives include factory-installed speakers and electronics for realistic sound and operation. The brand is particularly well-known for its extensive line of Alco and GMD diesel locomotives.

Their rolling stock selection focuses on classic transitions and modern eras. The catalog features everything from 70-ton hoppers to modern 53-foot roadrailers. These cars often feature crisp paint schemes and metal wheelsets for reliable performance on layout tracks.

In 2004, Bowser acquired Stewart Hobbies. This purchase expanded their catalog with highly regarded diesel locomotive toolings and helped transition the brand into a leader for high-performance, ready-to-run plastic models.
