Piko (HO)

PIKO Spielwaren GmbH manufactures a wide range of model railroad products in G, HO, TT, and N scales. The company started in 1949 in Chemnitz, Germany. Dr. René F. Wilfer purchased the brand in 1992 following German reunification. Today, the company maintains its headquarters in Sonneberg, Germany, and operates a production facility in Chashan, China.

The brand is a full-line manufacturer. It produces everything from locomotives and rolling stock to track and digital control systems. PIKO is famous for its weather-resistant G scale trains designed for outdoor use. In HO scale, they offer different product tiers: the “Expert” line for enthusiasts, “Hobby” for budget-conscious modelers, and “myTrain” for children. While primarily focused on European prototypes, the company also produces North American models through its PIKO America division.
