Founded in 1975 Woodland Scenics grew out of David Osment’s architectural modeling firm, where he built professional models for corporations and sports stadiums. Osment realized the model railroad industry lacked realistic landscaping materials and launched his own line to fill that gap. Today, Woodland Scenics is the industry leader in scenery and remains a family-owned business.

The brand offers a complete system for building realistic miniature worlds. Its SubTerrain System uses lightweight foam instead of heavy plywood to create hills and valleys. The Landscaping line includes everything from static grass and foliage to rock molds and realistic water effects.
