This accurately scaled car is based on the lightweight double stack (“Twin-Stack”) car introduced in 1985 by Gunderson Inc. Manufacturer’s drawings were used to design these cars for precise fidelity to the prototype. These cars helped usher in the “stack train” era of intermodal service. Designed to hold a combination of 40′ and 45′ containers, these cars run in 5-unit articulated sets.
