Description
Railroad Short Name: UP
In 1988 the UP at the ex-MP DeSoto shops modified their 70t 1971 Waffle cars into 100t capacity versions with the addition of strengthening channels on the exterior posts. Along with this “mod” they changed out their 70t trucks for 100t trucks, we did the same. I made sure that this was part of the design brief from the beginning of the ACF program.
